These pieces are incredibly detailed and 3D giving the works a sense of space and depth. Rodegast's work is remarkable showcasing how simple colors and folds can recreate detailed objects such as [cars, laptops, computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Porsche-911-carrera) and even animals. While the shapes are relatively simple, the [intricate folds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folded-time) and placement of the sculptures recreate scenes from reality that are remarkably familiar, such as a cat chewing on its tail in a home or a map of a landscape. The bold use of color brings these pieces to life as each piece offers various perspectives for the viewer to gaze from. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 27% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Hyperrealistic Paper Sculptures:** Opportunity for artists to explore hyperrealistic techniques in paper sculptures, creating detailed and lifelike objects. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Design:** Artists can use hyperrealistic paper sculptures to create unique and visually stunning pieces. - **Craft and Hobby:** Crafters and hobbyists can explore hyperrealistic paper sculpting as a new creative medium. - **Home Decor:** Hyperrealistic paper sculptures can be incorporated into home decor, offering a unique and artistic touch to interior design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Mixed-Media Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folded-echoes.md) - [Origami-Inspired Porcelain Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saori-matsushita.md) - [Cardboard-Inspired Ceramic Household Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-collection.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Stunning Origami Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-portaits.md) - [Paper Curvature Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-curves.md) - [Folded Paper Figures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clara-von-zweibergk.md) - [Sophisticated Upcycled Home Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basket-sculptures.md) - [Life-Sized Car Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/benedict-radcliffe-1.md)
