Inspired by both nature and mandalas, a Hindu and Buddhist religious and traditional art form, Kathy Klein creates stunning works of art that she has dubbed 'danmalas.' Danmala is a blending of two words in Sanskrit: dān (the giver) and mālā (garland of flowers).

By using a variety of vibrant, natural materials such as fruits, vegetables and of course flowers, Kathy Klein creates these pieces by arranging all materials in a circular pattern that happens to be very similar to [Qi Wei's Exploded Flowers](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qi-wei) series. Yet, it is through much religious contemplation that Kathy Klein's creations are conceived. As her website states, "She creates the danmalas by first centering herself in a meditative devotional space...Then, through an act of grace and giving to all, she allows the materials to fall to the will of creation patterns."
