Local studio Anttinen Oiva Architects has created the Katajanokan Laituri building which is a [mass timber structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tree-courtyard-house) as the [headquarters for Stora Enso](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nderkleiva), a timber supplier located in Helsinki. It is along the [waterfront](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-hq) and in addition to the headquarters, it also houses a restaurant and the Katajanokka Pier 4 hotel with 164 rooms. It also has a public green rooftop terrace and a basement beneath with a car park.

The architecture firm shares, "Katajanokan Laituri is a solid wood office and hotel building that sets an example for the possibilities of wood construction in a sensitive urban environment. The project has been guided by the objective of minimising climate impacts over a long lifecycle and making the best use of renewable resources and materials."
