I'm glad I did, especially after watching the film '127 Hours,' which is about a mountaineer who was trapped under a boulder with limited liquid at his disposal. Unfortunately, the Katadyn Pocket Water Filter may not have proved very helpful to him, but it could prove life-saving to you if you were ever lost in the wilderness or simply misjudged how much water you would need on a trip. By purifying one liter per minute, this purifier cleans out everything, including parasites, cholera and typhoid. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Portable Water Purifiers:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Develop more compact and efficient portable water purifiers for outdoor enthusiasts and travelers. - **Outdoor Adventure Gear:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Create innovative outdoor adventure gear that integrates portable water purifiers for convenience and safety. - **Water Filtration Technology:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Invest in advanced water filtration technology to improve the effectiveness and speed of portable purifiers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Outdoor Equipment:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Collaborate with outdoor equipment manufacturers to integrate portable water purifiers into their products. - **Travel and Tourism:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Partner with travel companies to provide portable water purifiers as a value-added service for customers. - **Emergency Preparedness:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Develop portable water purifiers specifically designed for emergency situations, such as natural disasters or humanitarian aid. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Portable Water Filtration Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-water-filtration-system.md) - [Compatibly Compact Water Filters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-water-filter.md) - [Miniature Water Filtration Straws](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peak-solo.md) - [Titanium-Made Water Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grayl-ultrapress-titanium-purifier.md) - [Travel-Friendly Water Purification Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lifestraw-peak-series.md) - [Extra-Rugged Water Filter Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gravity-filter-system.md) - [Speedy Water Purification Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grayl-ultrapress.md) - [Personal Water Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lifestraw-mission.md) - [Water-Purifying Jerrycans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-purification-jerrycan.md)
