For the past 100 days, Jurick would paint one 4x4 portrait per day. The finished masterpiece is entitled BUST-ED and features [individual head portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portrait-mom) composed from real-life mugshots. I love that the paintings are [full of color](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/profiles-in-color) and each individual face is interesting to look at. Some people are featured in a side profile, while the rest face forward. Karin Jurick has definitely created something very unique! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Colorful Mugshot Art:** Opportunity for artists to create unique and vibrant artwork from everyday subjects like mugshots. - **Daily Painting Challenges:** Opportunity to create daily challenges for artists to improve their skills and complete a series of artwork. - **Portrait Series:** Opportunity to create a series of portraits that explore and showcase a particular theme or concept. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art:** Opportunity for artists to explore new subjects and techniques to create unique and captivating artwork. - **Entertainment:** Opportunity to utilize vibrant mugshot art in the entertainment industry, such as for album covers or movie posters. - **Fashion:** Opportunity to use mugshot art as inspiration for unique and edgy fashion designs or collections. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Reimagined Puzzled Artful Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portrait-of-a-woman-in-a-hat.md) - [Glass Beaded Intricate Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-exhibition.md) - [Stunning Origami Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-portaits.md) - [Leftover Househouse Paint Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-drop.md) - [Artist-Edition Jigsaw Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artistedition-jigsaw-puzzles.md) - [Travel-Inspired Canvas Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-passport-series.md) - [Glamorous Artful Bronze Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sweet-jane.md) - [Immigration System-Inspired Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/passport-series.md) - [Collaborative Monochromatic Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collaborative-monochromatic-art-exhibition.md)
