Make sure to check out these adorable prints by Kari Herer, a [mixed media work](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folded-echoes) between hand-drawing, floral composition and photography. Are you still looking at the wall wondering if it would be better adorned by a [floral painting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flowerlore-collection) or a hunting trophy? Here's the solution: a mix between the two. Deer head trophies are great, but encourage unnecessary animal cruelty; flowers in the home are lovely, but are definitely a little cliche. Kari Herer provides a happy medium by gently placing [flowers and petals in animal-shaped arrangements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lithic-bloom), resulting in sophisticated, delicate, romantic pieces. Kari Herer's work has the right twist to turn ordinary subjects into something completely fresh and new. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 76% | Activity: 76% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Mixed Media Nature Art:** Exploring the fusion between hand-drawing, floral composition and photography to create unique pieces of art that blend flora and fauna elements. - **Animal-inspired Floral Decor:** Incorporating animal shapes and floral arrangements to provide a fresh twist on traditional wall decor, while highlighting the beauty of nature and the importance of animal welfare. - **Sophisticated Nature Prints:** Creating delicate and romantic pieces that showcase the beauty of nature and elevate standard home decorations, capturing customers seeking unique and artistic home decor items. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** Innovative mixed media prints are disrupting the home decor industry, offering a fresh twist on traditional wall art by unifying elements of nature and imaginative animal shapes. - **Floral Arrangement:** Floral industry professionals can leverage the flora-fauna fusion art trend, to experiment with new arrangement styles, combining flowers with imaginative animals to offer exciting alternatives for events, weddings and home design. - **Photography and Illustration:** The flora-fauna fusion art presents photographers and illustrators with a new approach to create imaginative and sophisticated narratives with new combinations of techniques, resulting in stunning and creative mixed media prints and designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Striking Urban Wildlife Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clare-allin.md) - [Almost-Extinct Animal Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fauna-series.md) - [Flower-Inspired Vibrant Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/espressionismo-floreale.md) - [Artist-Approved Intricate Wallpaper Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/printed-decors.md) - [Adorable Ceramic Homeware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-homeware1.md) - [Preserved Flower Keepsakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flower-preservation.md) - [Floral-Inspired Home Rug Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magical-garden.md) - [Blooming Clustered Art Forms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/structural-botany.md) - [Large-Scale Floral Mosaics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floral-mosaics.md)
