# Character-Disclosing Karaoke Comics This Comic Reveals What Your Karaoke Song Says About You By Vasiliki Marapas | Published 2013-10-20 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/karaoke-comic References: [mashable](http://mashable.com/2013/10/18/karaoke-song-comic/?utm_medium=feed&utm_source=feedburner&utm_campaign=Feed:) & [stevepatrickadams](http://stevepatrickadams.com/?page_id=41) Karaoke is the type of weekend activity that one embarks on after a few drinks and certainly does not want immortalized via [YouTube](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tarot-with-youtube) video; but your choice in song can be more revealing than [your horoscope](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sanrio-character), according to this Karaoke comic by comedian Steve Patrick Adams. If Madonna's 'Like a Prayer' is your go-to song, Adams suggest that your sexual self-confidence supersedes your sexual performance. If it's Toni Braxton's 'Unbreak My Heart' that gets you going, you're probably the type that hovers around the appetizers, mid-sob. And of course, what would a Karaoke night be without an overenthusiastic rendition of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin'? Unsurprisingly, this song choice generally signals that you're not afraid to run things into the ground. I, myself, am partial to anything Britney, but everyone should check out what their favorite song says about them before the next karaoke night. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Humor](https://www.trendhunter.com/humor) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Karaoke Trends:** Discovering the hidden meanings behind popular karaoke song choices. - **Self-expression Analysis:** Using karaoke song preferences as a tool for understanding and analyzing personal characteristics. - **Psychological Insights:** Uncovering deeper insights into individual psyche based on karaoke song selections. ### Where This Applies - **Entertainment:** Opportunities for creating new platforms or experiences that combine karaoke and self-expression analysis. - **Market Research:** Utilizing karaoke preferences to gather data on consumer behavior and preferences. - **Psychology and Therapy:** Using karaoke as a tool for personal reflection and emotional release in therapeutic settings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI-Powered Karaoke Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mayk.md) - [In-App Karaoke Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/karaoke-mode.md) - [AI Karaoke Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mykaraoke-video.md) - [Playful Font-Associated Personalities](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adobe-acrobat.md) - [Question-Prompting Music Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spotify-song-feature.md) - [Mysterious Fortune-Telling Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/song-psychic.md) - [AI Karaoke Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-karaoke.md) - [Musical Relationship Compatibility Testers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/relationship-testing.md) - [Wine Personality Test Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-personality-test.md)
