A [modular set of platters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/track-concept), the vibrant colors and geometric shapes (which mimic the [patterns found in a kaleidoscope](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kalegoidoscope)) bring a playful aesthetic to food displays. Created by Swedish designer Clara Von Zweigbergk for Hays, the Kaleido Trays can easily be used for items other than food. The individual trays can be arranged and rearranged to help organize jewelry and other loose knickknacks. Available in a range of sizes, they are made out of metal. They are great for modern homes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Modular Home Decor:** The Kaleido Trays demonstrate the trend of modular home decor, allowing for customization and versatile use. - **Playful Aesthetics:** The vibrant colors and geometric shapes of the Kaleido Trays reflect the trend of incorporating playful aesthetics in home decor. - **Practical Organization:** The Kaleido Trays showcase the trend of practical organization solutions, with their ability to arrange and rearrange for different purposes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Furnishings:** The Kaleido Trays bring disruptive innovation opportunities to the home furnishings industry, allowing for customizable and playful decor options. - **Art and Design:** The vibrant and geometric patterns of the Kaleido Trays present disruptive innovation opportunities for the art and design industry, showcasing new creative possibilities. - **Retail and E-commerce:** The modular and versatile nature of the Kaleido Trays opens up disruptive innovation opportunities for the retail and e-commerce industry, offering unique organizational and decorative products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimal Premium Elegant Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eclipse-tray.md) - [Clay-Modeled Multi-Use Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramics-everday-objects.md) - [Recycled Desk Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tray210.md) - [Leaf-Inspired Colorful Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leaf-tray.md) - [Unconventional Modular Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-kaleido-series.md) - [Minimal Storage Tray Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spiral-tray.md) - [Vibrantly Designed Playful Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hem.md) - [Shadow-Inspired Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightware-series.md) - [Colorful Contemporary Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/runda-tables.md)
