Affixing onto a [window pane](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vindow), the vase works to provide a space for a single flower or a small bouquet to be placed in order to let it be admired without having to dedicate any space on a surface to it. The vase creates the illusion of the flower floating and comes in [three color options](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pavilion-set) including blue, clear and brown to make it suitable for the kind of aesthetic you're going for. The Kaki Flower Vase is the design work of Japan-based design duo TODO, which is comprised of Mr. Toyosaki and Mr. Okaniwa. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Window-mounted Vases:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create window-mounted vases that can be easily affixed onto any window pane, allowing users to display flowers without taking up surface space. - **Illusionary Flower Displays:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design flower vases that create the illusion of flowers floating, adding a unique and visually appealing element to home decor. - **Space-saving Floral Solutions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop compact and space-saving flower vases that enable people with limited tabletop space to still enjoy the beauty of floral arrangements. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate innovative flower vases into the home decor industry to enhance and beautify living spaces with unique floral displays. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with interior designers to incorporate illusionary flower displays as part of their design concepts, adding a captivating and eye-catching element to interior spaces. - **Urban Living Solutions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Target urban dwellers by creating space-saving floral solutions, catering to their limited living space and providing them with opportunities for greenery and nature in their homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Miniature Cylindrical Flower Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hanakubari.md) - [Floating Stem Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lotus-effect-vase.md) - [Jewelry-Holding Flower Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirror-vase-stand.md) - [Japanese Culture-Honoring Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/watoji.md) - [Personalized Floral Grid Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-vase.md) - [Minimalistic Feline-Inspired Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-silhouette-vase.md) - [Vibrant Dynamic Wall Plant-Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floos.md) - [Chandelier-Shaped Self-Watering Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/selfwatering-vase.md) - [Multifunctional Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iza-vase.md)
