According to the artist, the creatures live in a magical realm where they retain an awareness of their own existence. It is through this awareness that k2man is able to more fully explore our own questions of existentialism; for instance, what are we doing here? And where are we going? Humans appear in k2man's scenes, interacting with the animals and creatures. The viewer's sense of wonder and awe if furthered as they see both human and beast interact with one another in this [whimsical world](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/storybooks-illustrator). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Whimsical Creature Art:** The trend involves creating fantastical creatures and a magical world; this presents a disruptive opportunity for children's book publishers or animation studios. - **Existentialism in Art:** This trend involves exploring existential questions through art, and presents an opportunity for art therapists or mental health counselors to leverage this concept in healing treatments. - **Humans and Creatures Interaction:** The trend involves incorporating human characters interacting with fantastical creatures, which presents a marketing opportunity for the gaming industry. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Children's Book Publishing:** The enchanted creature trend is perfect for children's book publishing as it appeals to a younger audience, creating potential revenue opportunities for publishers. - **Animation Studios:** Since whimsical creature art is in trend, animation studios can use this idea to create innovative and engaging cartoons and movies that are sure to be loved by their audience. - **Art Therapy:** The trend of existentialism in art can be useful in art therapy, and as a result, presents an opportunity for professionally qualified art therapists seeking new methods of treatment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [Striking Urban Wildlife Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clare-allin.md) - [Creature-Inspired Home Good Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charles-jeffreys-loverboy.md) - [Almost-Extinct Animal Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fauna-series.md) - [Character Art-Infused Leather Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moynat-x-kasing.md) - [Whimsical Spirit Art Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anima.md) - [AI-Generated Real-World Transformations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-generated-world.md) - [Playful Cat Illustrations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/open-meow.md) - [Playful Modern Art Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brent-estabrook-debuts-storytime.md)
