The mouse has a button-free design that replaces the mechanical components with [touch-sensitive sections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tapt) to allow for a less invasive user experience. The pressure-sensitive design is similar in functionality to features like Force Touch on the [Apple](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-magic-mushroom-mouse) [MacBook](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magic-bar) trackpad that delivers a more tactile experience for the user. The conceptual 'Just another mouse' has a proximity sensor on the top that will detect the user's hand and turn on or off automatically. The rechargeable mouse only needs to be placed onto a wireless dock to start the charging process much like using a wireless smartphone or smartwatch charger. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 14% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Pressure-sensitive Computer Peripherals:** Opportunity to develop more touch-sensitive computer peripherals, including mouses and keyboards that offer a less invasive user experience. - **Proximity-sensing Devices:** Opportunity to integrate proximity sensors into other devices to improve user experience and save energy consumption. - **Rechargeable Wireless Devices:** Opportunity to advance the technology used in wireless charging docks to be even more efficient and convenient for daily use. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Computer Hardware:** Can create button-free touch-sensitive computer peripherals that reduce the risk of RSI in users. - **Consumer Electronics:** Can explore proximity-sensing and wireless charging technologies to develop more convenient and user-friendly devices. - **Healthcare and Ergonomics:** Can benefit from integrating pressure-sensitive and touch-sensitive technology in medical equipment to reduce the risk of RSI for medical professionals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ergonomic Wrist Rest Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allin-ergonomic-mouse.md) - [Health-Conscious Mouse Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergo-ergonomic-mouse-concept.md) - [Strain-Reducing Computer Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-mouse.md) - [Sculpted PC Peripheral Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-magic-mushroom-mouse.md) - [Configurable Mechanical Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/my-mouse.md) - [Contoured Comfort Mouse Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-ergonomic-mouse.md) - [Pocket-Sized Ergonomic Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/horizontal-mouse.md) - [Stone-Inspired Tech Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smooth-mouse-concept.md) - [Hybrid Interface Computer Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/computer-mouse-concept.md)
