# Adorable Elephantine Cutlery Holders Jumbo by Peleg Design Drains Water Out of Its Trunk By Meghan Young | Published 2014-01-24 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jumbo-by-peleg-design References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2014/01/24/introucing-jumbo/) & [peleg-design](http://www.peleg-design.com/) Jumbo by [Peleg Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-reflectrays), a creative studio based in Tel Aviv, Israel, is appropriately named considering that it takes on the form of an elephant. A cute design, to say the very least, it is also a clever one. It was designed to hold [recently washed cutlery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evolving-spoon). The trunk acts as a spout so that excess water can drain out into the sink instead of mildewing inside. Thus, it is much more than an adorable piece of [kitchen decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legni-collection). Taking on a faceted appearance, Jumbo by Peleg Design can also be utilized in the bathroom for toothbrushes. It is available in two colors: grey and white. Adhering to the studio's "three basic principles: functionality, aesthetics, and humor," Jumbo by Peleg Design is a fun product for the home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.5/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 72% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Adorable Kitchen Decor:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in creating cute and functional kitchen decor. - **Creative Bathroom Accessories:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in designing unique and practical bathroom accessories. - **Multi-functional Product Design:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in creating products that can be used in multiple ways. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the home decor industry by creating unique and adorable products. - **Kitchenware:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the kitchenware industry by designing functional and aesthetically pleasing products. - **Bathroom Products:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the bathroom products industry by creating innovative and practical accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Whimsically Bright Napkin Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloonapkins.md) - [Playful Sponge Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sponge-holder1.md) - [Elephant Teething Gloves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moyuum.md) - [Creative Dipping Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dip-sea.md) - [Animal-Themed Cleaning Items](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/koala-sponges.md) - [Cheeky Bathroom Plungers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stylish-plunger.md) - [Durable Sustainable Cutlery Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lollo.md) - [Sculptural Towel Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangled-joe.md) - [Flat-Packed Sleek Dish Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aurea.md)
