# Floating Puppy Portraits Julia Christe Captures these Canines in Mid-Air By Vasiliki Marapas | Published 2014-11-14 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/julia-christe References: [mymodernmet](http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/julia-christe-freestyle-series) & [juliachriste.de](http://www.juliachriste.de/) Julia Christe's hilarious project, titled 'Freestyle Series,' captures various dogs as they sail through the air. Christe is not selective when it comes to breed. She [photographs every type of pooch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-lens-ai) leaping, bounding and soaring with a joyful elation. The [final portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tails-frames) are a mess of fur, floppy ears and doggie limbs flying in every which direction. Needless to say, it's absolutely hilarious. The dogs look as though they're doing their best ballerina impression, pirouetting against the gray backdrop with a theatricality normally reserved for the stage. It's a little alarming to realize that a group of dogs could (and do) have more grace and rhythm than I do, but you can't fault these adorable canines for their stellar moves. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Canine Aerial Photography:** Opportunity to create innovative ways of capturing dogs in mid-air. - **Joyful Dog Portraits:** Exploring ways to capture dogs in a playful and humorous manner. - **Dogs as Performers:** Creating unique photography projects that showcase the agility and grace of dogs. ### Where This Applies - **Pet Photography:** Innovations in pet photography can leverage the trend of capturing dogs in mid-air. - **Animal Entertainment:** Opportunity to introduce dogs as performers in entertainment industries. - **Art and Design:** Artists can explore unique ways of portraying dogs in playful and joyful settings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawmypet.md) - [Pet-Taken Camera Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heartography.md) - [Spooky Charming Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crown-paw.md) - [AI Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petpic-ai.md) - [AI Pet Photo Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pawfoto.md) - [Dog-Themed Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dogthemed-puzzle.md) - [Puppy Dating App Giveaways](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puppy-dating-app-giveaways.md) - [Balloon Dog Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloon-dog-cake.md) - [Hand-Decorated Dog Cookies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woofkies.md)
