He uses [oil paint](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yolo-paint) as his medium for creativity, and that is a difficult paint to use with fluidity. However, Manjarrez has been able to successfully create gorgeous art. He almost exclusively uses [black and white paint](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ralph-pucci-pure-exhibition), and when he does use color, it's primarily to add a pop to the piece. It's incredible to view his work, and it takes more than a minute to realize that these are hand drawn. Juan Carlos Manjarrez has been able to elevate hyper-realism by his lack of color, and the amount of emotion he has been able to inject into his pieces. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 31% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Hyper-realistic Monochromatic Art:** The use of black and white paint in hyper-realistic art presents an opportunity to differentiate from traditional colorful realism. - **Oil Paint Fluidity in Hyper-realistic Art:** Innovations in fluidity of oil paint can lead to even more realistic and awe-inspiring artwork. - **Emotional Expression in Hyper-realistic Art:** The ability to inject emotion into hyper-realistic art presents an opportunity to evoke a new level of connection and engagement with viewers. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Fine Arts:** The fine arts industry can benefit from new techniques in hyper-realistic art to attract wider audiences and stay relevant. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can take advantage of the unique and highly realistic paintings to offer more options for stylish and eye-catching pieces. - **Digital Art:** Applying hyper-realistic techniques in digital art presents opportunities for new forms of expression and innovation in the field. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stunning Origami Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-portaits.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Raw Sports Emotion Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/game-exhibition.md) - [Vibrantly Colorful Dynamic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kayla-rumpp.md) - [Sophisticated Copper Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manu-ba.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [3D-Printed Colorful Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/olivier-van-herpt-1.md) - [AI-Generated Poetic Photo Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emilio-alarcn.md) - [Monochrome Sculpture Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ralph-pucci-pure-exhibition.md)
