The [comfortable joystick](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/isteady-m7) makes the device easy to control and allows the user to pan the camera up to 180 degrees. The Solocam is also synced to an accompanying app, which allows you to share and enhance videos while recording live footage. The Solocam essentially eliminates the need for expensive camera equipment and a camera crew by helping journalists film and record their own video footage. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Microphone-equipped Selfie Sticks:** The development of microphone-equipped selfie stick helps journalists film videos without the need of a crew. - **Hands-free Audio and Video Recording:** The integration of Bluetooth technology in the Solocam allows hands-free video and audio recording. - **User-controlled Video Footage:** Solocam enables comfortable Joystick control, giving users control of their video footage. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Journalism:** The Solocam provides an affordable solution for journalists to produce quality video content and eliminates the need for a camera crew. - **Content Creation/ Blogging:** The Solocam is a useful tool for content creators to produce high-quality video content without the need for expensive camera equipment. - **Live Streaming:** Solocam's synced app enables live streaming, providing content creators with an efficient and convenient platform for producing video content. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Magsafe Selfie Sticks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magstick.md) - [Solo Vlogger Smartphone Gimbals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gimbal-griptok.md) - [Vlog-Focused Microphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-mic.md) - [DSLR-Like Vlogging Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vlogger-camera.md) - [Aftermarket Vlogger Microphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sony-shotgun-microphone-ecmg1.md) - [Photographer Parabolic Microphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dodotronic-hisound-compact.md) - [Micro-Sized Vlogging Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sony-vlog001.md) - [All-in-One Vlogging Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vlog-1.md) - [Sound-Localizing Smartphone Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soundcam-go.md)
