The artist's geometric topography views challenge the smooth lines of traditional brush strokes and instead opt for elements that are more visually striking. The works depict a series of mountains and hills that are composed out of countless triangular shapes. These [geometric compositions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape-lamp) are also given depth with the use of [rainbow hues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorscape-installation) that inspire their viewer through color. Jonathan Zawada's geometric art pieces play with one's perception and are an eye-catching translation of [mountainous landscapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whispering-mountains). The artist finds beauty in nature and gains visual inspiration from the great outdoors. Though abstract at first glance, the compositions reveal themselves as carefully planned scenes upon closer inspection. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 91% | Activity: 76% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Live Arts](https://www.trendhunter.com/livearts) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Geometric Art:** The use of geometric shapes in art challenges traditional forms of representation and offers new possibilities for creativity and self-expression. - **Modern Landscape Paintings:** Artists combining modern techniques and traditional subject matter create a fresh perspective on the depiction of landscapes, offering a unique visual experience. - **Colorful Abstraction:** Exploring vibrant and visually striking color palettes in art allows for the creation of bold and captivating artworks that evoke strong emotions. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Design:** The art and design industry can incorporate geometric art, modern landscape paintings, and colorful abstraction to create innovative and visually compelling artworks. - **Home Decor:** Geometric art, modern landscape paintings, and colorful abstraction can be applied in home decor to create unique and eye-catching pieces that stand out from traditional artworks. - **Advertising and Marketing:** Using geometric art, modern landscape paintings, and colorful abstraction in advertising and marketing campaigns can help brands visually differentiate themselves and capture audience attention. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paper Curvature Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-curves.md) - [Colorful Geometric Ceramic Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barva-vases.md) - [Topographic Wooden Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/topographic-coffee-table.md) - [Topographical Recycled Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/two-coffee-tables.md) - [Dynamic Mathematically Shaped Surfaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mathematically-shaped.md) - [Digital City-Inspired Art Works](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grand-central-station.md) - [Dynamic Structural Mirror Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zigzag-collection.md) - [Physics-Informed Digital Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motion-sculpture.md) - [Gradient Tonal Optical Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stretch-color.md)
