Jonathon Saunders' Fall 2014 collection is the perfect example of taking something old and making it new. Saunders [re-appropriated old textiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/remake-by-burberry) to create entirely new garments. He often used glitter to bond together two or more scrap textiles, resulting in sparkly hems and seams on several of the well-made pieces.

Beyond the patchwork glitter aesthetic, Saunders offers long, mutton-sleeved outerwear that looks incredibly cozy. The extravagant silhouettes and checkered patterns ensure that each piece is a [statement-maker](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auteur-studios-fall-2025) that will stop passers-by dead in their tracks.

The mix-and-match look debuted in a show ripe with dystopian flavor. The show, much like the collection, is a commentary on how everything is [disposable, reusable and recyclable](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/regeneration-nation).
