# Enormous Festive Sausages This Johnsonville Bratwurst Measures the Length of a Football Field By M | Published 2015-09-15 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/johnsonville-bratwurst References: [eater](http://www.eater.com/2015/9/14/9326387/record-bratwurst-lambeau-field-SO-MANY-CALORIES) & [wiat](http://wiat.com/2015/09/14/120-yard-bratwurst-sets-record-at-lambeau-field/) In celebration of football season, Lambeau Field created this 120-yard long Johnsonville bratwurst sausage for fans of the Green Bay Packers. This incredibly long sausage creatively measures the length of the Lambeau football field. Bratwurst sausages are a classic sport arena meal to enjoy when watching a game of football. This idea along with a harmless joke spurred on the creation of a custom 250-pound and 120-yard long Bratwurst sausage. The food item was so long in size that a custom grill had to be made to accommodate the shape and cook the meat. The grill ended up measuring 360-feet and was designed to be a long skinny barbecue. All the proceeds raised from the World's Longest Bratwurst in the world were given to help support local charities in the area. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Giant Food Items:** The popularity of large food items like the 120-yard long Johnsonville bratwurst may lead to more giant food creations that capture public attention. - **Customized Food Items:** Customized food items like the 250-pound and 120-yard long Bratwurst sausage can create unique dining experiences that cater to specific events or preferences. - **Charitable Food Events:** Charitable events centered around food items like the World's Longest Bratwurst can help support local communities while also creating a fun and memorable experience for participants. ### Who This Affects Most - **Food and Beverage:** The food and beverage industry can capitalize on the trend of giant food items by creating similar products that offer novelty and entertainment value. - **Event Planning:** Event planners can incorporate customized food items like the 250-pound and 120-yard long Bratwurst sausage to create unique and engaging experiences for clients and attendees. - **Charitable Organizations:** Charitable organizations can explore hosting food events similar to the World's Longest Bratwurst to raise funds and awareness for their causes while also providing a fun and memorable experience for participants. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Midwestern Beer-Infused Sausages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oktoberfest-beer-brats.md) - [Succulent Shandy-Flavored Sausages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summer-shandy-beer-brats.md) - [Cheesy Oktoberfest Sausages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oktoberwrst-sausage.md) - [Pretzels-Stuffed Oktoberfest Sausages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-oktoberwrst-sausage.md) - [To-Go Oktoberfest Sausages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smokey-cheddar-sausage.md) - [Cheesy Macaroni-Infused Sausages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/americana-sausage.md) - [Festives Corned Beef Sausages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corned-beef-and-cabbage-sausage.md) - [Burger-Inspired Hot Dogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bacon-cheeseburger-sausage.md) - [Elevated German Sausages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheeseburger-bratwurst.md)
