Remember John Travolta’s hairstyle in Grease? The slicked back sides, with the overflowing puff in front that Danny Zucko, Kenickie and the rest of the T-Birds wore? Well, that look is back, but this time, it’s for the ladies.

In their Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign, MaxMara had the locks of their ladies twisted into these [masculine bouffants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hair-ballad), a feminine twist on the look John Travolta made so famous in the [1978 musical flick](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beetlejuice-beetlejuice1).

The MaxMara SS09 print ads were shot by British fashion photographer Craig McDean, and featured models Lakshmi Menon and Eniko Mihalik.
