# Resort-Like Residences Nico van der Meulen Architects' Joc House is a Retreat In and Of Itself By Meghan Young | Published 2011-03-17 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joc-house References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2011/03/16/joc-house-by-nico-van-der-meulen-architects/) & [nicovdmeulen](http://www.nicovdmeulen.com/) If you lived in the Joc House, you wouldn't feel the need for a vacation or getaway. The reason why I say this is because it looks like a resort in and of itself. More of a mansion than a house, it holds pretty much any luxury a human being could ever ask for. Designed by Nico van der Meulen Architects, the Joc House is located in Johannesburg, South Africa. With a stunning, open concept entrance, an indoor pool, waiting area-like living rooms and bar-like kitchens, this Joc House is undeniably luxurious to say the least. With this awesome [resort home](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/not-a-hotel-1), you can save plenty of dough as you can now skip out on having to actually go on an [all-inclusive vacation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-brecon).
