He has created the adorable Pikachu, the fast flying snitch, Mr. Krabs and more. Since Jobe Brown specializes in 3D [origami art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gami-collection) and is only a mere 20 years of age, it is only natural that he would meld the two worlds together. Jobe Brown's origami work is so complex that at times he uses glue to better hold them together. Although people dispute that it is origami at all if he does that, Jobe Brown assures people that he only uses the glue to allow his [paper sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/museum-for-papirkunst) to last longer. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Pop Culture Origami:** Integrating popular culture themes into origami creations presents opportunities for artists and business owners alike to tap into a broader audience. - **3D Origami Art:** With a growing interest in 3D printing and other three-dimensional art forms, there is an opportunity to expand the market for complex, 3D origami creations. - **Intricacy in Origami:** The use of glue in origami has typically been frowned upon but Jobe Brown's complex creations pave the way for a new trend where origami artists use glue to create even more intricate designs. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Arts and Crafts:** By offering origami products that are intricate and relevant to pop culture, businesses can tap into a growing appreciation for unique and handmade creations in the arts and crafts industry. - **Entertainment:** With the popularity of pop culture themes in Jobe Brown's origami, there is an opportunity film, TV, and video game industries to create unique merchandise and promotional items that appeal to fans and collectors alike. - **Education and Learning:** Origami, especially complex origami like Jobe Brown's, offers opportunities for educators to integrate hands-on learning and creativity into their lesson plans. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Origami-Inspired Ceramics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-series.md) - [Folded Paper Figures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clara-von-zweibergk.md) - [Origami-Inspired Porcelain Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saori-matsushita.md) - [Paper-Made Origami Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hanging-origami-lamp.md) - [Origami-Inspired Steel Art Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reflector-sculpture.md) - [Eroded Cartoon-Themed Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystalized-squirtle.md) - [Sculptural Paper Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragmenti.md) - [Artist-Inspired Flower Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/belgiandesigner.md) - [Origami-Inspired Seating Capsule](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origamiinspired-design1.md)
