# Motorcycle-Like Hoovers The Jet Handheld Vacuum Expresses the Power and Speed of a Chopper By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-12-11 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jet-handheld-vacuum References: [tuvie](http://www.tuvie.com/jet-handheld-vacuum-concept-by-jurmol-yao/) & [jurmol](http://www.jurmol.com/harley.html) The aesthetic success of the Jet Handheld Vacuum is unquestionable. Designer Jurmol Yao strove to replicate the sleek appearance of [Harley-Davidson](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reimagined-exclusivelydesigned-motorcycles) and the final concept actually looks like it's been extracted from part of a luxury motorbike. This was accomplished with the use of high-shine metal parts that resemble the exposed pipes and tanks throughout the bodies of choppers. They were conceived to be fixed together with clean connections, taking a range of widths and sculptural forms that align for a streamlined effect. To accent the powerful, industrial and stylish look of the Jet Handheld Vacuum a handle of fine brown leather was incorporated into one end. Its shape is reminiscent of a motorcycle seat and is perhaps one of the more revealing elements to hint at the object's purpose. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 61% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Sleek Vacuum Designs:** Opportunity to disrupt the vacuum industry by creating sleek, high-shine metal designs that resemble motorcycle aesthetics. - **Industrial-inspired Home Appliances:** Opportunity to disrupt the home appliance industry by incorporating industrial, powerful and stylish designs into everyday products. - **Luxury Motorbike Influences in Design:** Opportunity to disrupt various industries by incorporating luxury motorbike influences into product design, creating visually appealing and unique products. ### Who This Affects Most - **Vacuum Cleaner Industry:** Opportunity to disrupt the vacuum cleaner industry by introducing motorbike-inspired designs that appeal to a niche market of motorcycle enthusiasts. - **Home Appliance Industry:** Opportunity to disrupt the home appliance industry by infusing industrial-inspired designs into various products, catering to consumers looking for stylish and unique appliances. - **Product Design Industry:** Opportunity to disrupt the product design industry by incorporating luxury motorbike influences into a wide range of products, offering a new and captivating design element. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Curved Vacuum Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qrevo-curvx.md) - [Artful Handheld Vacuum Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handheld-vacuum-1.md) - [Cubic Handheld Vacuum Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dust-box-vacuum-cleaner.md) - [Design-Conscious Vacuum Cleaners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airsign-vacuum.md) - [Display-Equipped Vacuum Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blend-i-vacuum-cleaner.md) - [Futuristic Motorbike Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-braun-motorbike.md) - [Cordless Jet Vacuum Cleaners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cordless-jet-vacuum-cleaner.md) - [Automotive-Targeted Vacuum Cleaners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dyson-carboat.md) - [Window Vacuum Cleaner Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aria-concept.md)
