# Celebrity Horror Comics ‘Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Music Box' is 10-Issues By Susan Read | Published 2009-07-28 | Updated 2009-08-03 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jennifer-love-hewitt-the-music-box-comic References: [popwatch.ew](http://popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2009/07/jennifer-love-hewitt-author.html) Jennifer Love Hewitt, beloved starlet of TV’s Ghost Whisperer, is trying her hand at writing. She plans to release two books in the next year, and, we expect, she plans to make it look easy. The first is a ten-issue [comic book series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garage-beer) called, “Jennifer Love Hewitt’s The Music Box.” Don’t worry, this has nothing to do with her music career. It’s actually of the [horror/thriller variety](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-tales-of-the-weird), and the referenced music box is eeevil. Chilling. We are even more excited about the book Jennifer Love Hewitt plans to release in 2010: a [dating and relationship guide](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/die-hot-with-a-vengeance) called - wait for it - *The Day I Shot Cupid*. This sounds promising. It’s said to offer, “a wide range of practical tips, from text-flirting and IM-ing to what men and women really want.” We’ve let worse celebrities give us life advice, so I don’t see why we shouldn’t hear what Jennifer has to say. If these books are a success, she could have a great future in providing dating advice to sci-fi geeks everywhere. Chapter 1: Hold her hand for comfort whenever you hear The Imperial March. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.8/10 - Popularity: 11% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Media](https://www.trendhunter.com/media) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Celebrities as Authors:** Jennifer Love Hewitt is trying her hand at writing, opening up opportunities for more celebrities to explore their authorial skills. - **Horror/thriller Comics:** Jennifer Love Hewitt's comic book series, 'The Music Box,' taps into the popularity of horror and thriller genres in the comic book industry. - **Celebrity Relationship Guides:** Jennifer Love Hewitt's upcoming book, 'The Day I Shot Cupid,' highlights a growing trend of celebrities offering dating and relationship advice guides. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Publishing:** The success of Jennifer Love Hewitt's books could encourage more publishers to collaborate with celebrities on authoring projects across various genres. - **Comic Book Industry:** The release of 'Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Music Box' opens up opportunities for the horror and thriller genre to be explored more in the comic book industry. - **Self-help and Relationship Guides:** The entry of celebrities like Jennifer Love Hewitt in the dating and relationship advice genre presents disruptive innovation opportunities for the self-help publishing sector. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Horror Film-Inspired Cookbooks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/death-for-dinner-cookbook.md) - [Garlic-Infused Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cravenproof-edition.md) - [Celeb-Backed Wine Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reeses-book-club-simi-winery.md) - [Horror Dating Game Hybrids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hooked-on-you.md) - [Artist-Created Graphic Novels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alterego-the-official-comic.md) - [Spooky Scream King Spirits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macabre-spirits.md) - [Spooky Dating-Inspired Candies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghosted-sweethearts.md) - [Garlic Romance Novels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garlicinfused-romance-novel.md) - [Limited-Edition Erotica Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toy-stories.md)
