These beautiful pictures blend nature and spirituality into something totally surreal. Most of these photos are fairly dark, with a few [beams of light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/making-the-invisible-visible) highlighting the picture's focal point. One of these biblical shots depicts a woman dressed in white raising her arms up to the sky as the clouds part, trying to reveal the sun. Another shot shows an incredibly long line of people who appear to be walking into a shimmering light far off in the distance. Some of these shots, however, focus less on heaven and more on the darker aspects of the bible. In one eerie photo, the observer sees the silhouette of a man walking in what looks like a desert, but beneath the ground's surface we see a skeleton reaching downward. These [stunning surreal digital photos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1) are beautiful and thought-provoking. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 40% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/photography) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Religious-inspired Surreal Art:** Opportunity for artists to create visually striking and thought-provoking art by blending elements of religion and surrealism. - **Nature-spirituality Fusion:** The blending of nature and spiritual themes in art presents opportunities for unique interpretations and self-reflection. - **Exploring Dark Biblical Themes:** Artistic exploration of the darker aspects of the Bible, providing a fresh perspective on religious narratives. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Photography:** Artists and photographers can leverage religious symbols and surrealism to create captivating and commercially appealing works. - **Spiritual and Religious Organizations:** Religious institutions can incorporate surreal art to engage and provoke contemplation among their members. - **Publishing and Media:** Publishers and media outlets can explore collaborations with artists to feature religious-inspired surreal art in books, magazines, and digital platforms. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Surreal Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jeffrey-deitch-art-gallery.md) - [Public Art Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-anthony-smith.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [Otherwordly Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/william-monk.md) - [Apocalypse Post Pandemic Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-urban-art.md) - [Biblical-Inspired Sculptural Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/niamh-barry.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [Tree Branch-Formed Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celestial-attraction.md) - [Digital City-Inspired Art Works](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grand-central-station.md)
