# Chronological Actress Role Renderings Jeff Victor Pays Tribute to Natalie Portman Through Cartoons By Jason Soy | Published 2012-06-26 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jeff-victor References: [heyoscarwilde.tumblr](http://heyoscarwilde.tumblr.com/post/25811288529/the-evolution-of-natalie-portman-illustration-by) & [jeffvictor.blogspot](http://jeffvictor.blogspot.ca/2012/06/i-heart-natalie.html) Many artists, including other famous celebrities, have been inspired to create music and illustrations inspired by Natalie Portman, so it’s not that surprising to see these [tribute drawings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portrait-mom) done by the talented Jeff Victor. What’s awesome about his work however is that he rendered the Oscar-winning actress as she appeared in various roles throughout her career. As such, you’re treated to images of Portman as a child to her recent role as Thor’s love interest. Jeff Victor titled this piece ‘I heart Natalie.’ He has a distinct rendering style that takes [hyperbolic cartooning](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soccerthemed-illustrations) into [whimsically cute extremes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yusuke-hanai-11). Portman herself is depicted a few times with stick-skinny legs, while her face is nothing more than a few hastily drawn lines. The characters Victor chose to pair with each Portman role are all also humorously illustrated. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Celebs](https://www.trendhunter.com/celebs) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Celebrities-inspired Illustrations:** Opportunity for artists to create unique and imaginative artworks based on different personas and characters of famous personalities. - **Iconic Role Renderings:** Opportunity for artists to showcase their artistic skills by creating renditions of actors/actresses portraying their most iconic roles. - **Cartoon Character Pairings:** Opportunity for artists to explore their creativity by pairing cartoon characters with real-life persons and bring subtle humor to their illustrations. ### Where This Applies - **Entertainment:** Opportunity for the entertainment industry to leverage the trend of celebrity-inspired art and offer merchandise and collectibles featuring these illustrations. - **Art:** Opportunity for artists and galleries to create and showcase exhibitions featuring celebrity-inspired illustrations and iconic movie character renditions. - **Publishing:** Opportunity for publishers to create coffee table books featuring famous portrayal of characters and the creative influence behind it, making it a great collector's item among fans. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Classical Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sen-donnan.md) - [Glamorous Artful Bronze Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sweet-jane.md) - [Retro Space-Themed Puzzled Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/john-carter.md) - [Enchanting Classic-Animation-Inspired Jewelry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/girls-crew.md) - [Vintage-Inspired Eclipse Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solar-eclipse-poster.md) - [Playful Balloon Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keff-joons.md) - [Reimagined Puzzled Artful Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portrait-of-a-woman-in-a-hat.md) - [Cyclical Life-Themed Russian Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nesting-dolls-1.md) - [Miniature Artful Hip-Hop Landmarks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/danny-cortes.md)
