# Alternative Fairytale Ending Illustrations The Jeff Hong Images Showcase Saddening Disney Plots By Jordy E | Published 2014-05-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jeff-hong References: [mymodernmet](http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/jeff-hong-unhappily-ever-after) & [disneyunhappilyeverafter.tumblr](http://disneyunhappilyeverafter.tumblr.com/) The Jeff Hong images of alternative Disney story plots showcase a darker side to the movies and narratives. In his blog titled Unhappy Ever After, themes and tails are twisted as characters such as Aerial, Bambi and Belle are depicted in compromising circumstances. Almost unintentionally, Hong's illustrations have teased out a myriad of social issues. Although the classic, time-honored Disney characters would rarely if ever be associated with deforestation, plastic surgery and racism, he has drawn attention to these very issues via the unlikely plot twists. Whether or not one contributes to the growing discussion on Unhappily Every After, it is nonetheless interesting to view unconventional takes on the films that have for the most part been accepted, celebrated and unchallenged for decades. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 99% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Customization](https://www.trendhunter.com/customization) ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Gender-Swapped CartoCharacters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gender-swapped-disney.md) - [Hilarious Snowman Princesses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/olaf-as-disney-princesses.md) - [Disney-Themed MET Gala Dresses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disneythemed-met-gala-dresses.md) - [Dark Disney Mobile Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/punk-princess-iphone.md) - [Skeletal Disney Drawings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alejandro-giraldo.md) - [Cartooned Fantasy Show Characters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disney-game-of-thrones.md) - [Real-Life Disney Movie Parodies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/funny-or-die-little-mermaid.md) - [Thrilling Disney Mashups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frozen-mashup.md) - [Disturbing Disney Drawings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shera.md)
