Taking on the form of a [low glass box](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sklo), the transitional aspect of the design lies in the center. Jean-Marie Massaud has envisioned a centerpiece that changes with the seasons, hosting a warm fire in the winter, a cactus garden in the summer and even a [rock formation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fels-coffee-table) for fall or spring. A beautiful addition in any home, Jean-Marie Massaud's Seasons coffee table is full of life and personality. Made in Italy by [Glas Italia](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/simoon-collection), it has a retaining basin that can hold bioenthanol for the fire or water for plants and even a shallow aquarium. Granted, it would have to be thoroughly cleaned out with every switch. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Transitional Furniture:** Designing furniture pieces that can adapt and change with different seasons or occasions presents opportunities for personalized and versatile home decor. - **Multi-functional Design:** Creating furniture pieces with multiple functions, such as combining a coffee table with a fireplace or a planter, opens up possibilities for space-saving and efficient use of resources. - **Eco-friendly Home Decor:** Integrating sustainable materials and practices into home decor designs, like using bioethanol or water for different elements, aligns with the growing demand for eco-conscious products. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can explore opportunities to incorporate adaptable and multi-functional designs into their product offerings, catering to consumers' desire for customizable and versatile pieces. - **Home Interior Design:** Interior designers can leverage transitional furniture trends to create unique and personalized spaces that can adapt to different seasons, moods, or occasions, offering clients innovative and flexible design solutions. - **Sustainable Home Decor:** The sustainable home decor industry can embrace the use of eco-friendly materials and practices, providing consumers with stylish and environmentally conscious furniture options that can transform their living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Sculptural Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-transformation-table.md) - [Coastline-Inspired Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marea-low-table.md) - [Optical-Illusion Home Decor Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sevval-kalaycikli.md) - [Structural Blown Glass Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lokum-collection.md) - [Wavy Sculptural Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-coffee-tables.md) - [Fluid Topographic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-table.md) - [Industrial Shapeshifting Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jointable.md) - [Modular Glass Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modulo-collection.md) - [Frosted Light Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zen-collection-1.md)
