# Abstract Animal Sculptures Jared Pankin Mashes Animals With Wood to Create Creepy Crafts By Michael Hines | Published 2010-04-10 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jared-pankin References: [booooooom](http://www.booooooom.com/2010/04/07/sculptures-by-artist-jared-pankin/) Jared Pankin has crafted some...different creations here. These sculptures make me think of a world where animals casually fall haphazardly into wood chippers and vats of glue. These sculptures are weird, which is okay. I love weird, especially when it comes to art. Jared Pankin is a visionary genius. The animal-wood sculpture scene was searching for a new face for sometime now. Looks like it has found its face. And that face is part fox, part wood, apparently. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Abstract Animal Sculptures:** Exploring unconventional combinations of animals and materials to create unique art pieces. - **Weird Art Movement:** Embracing unconventional and bizarre art forms to challenge traditional notions of aesthetics. - **Innovative Sculpting Techniques:** Adopting new methods and materials in sculpture-making to push the boundaries of creativity. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Leveraging abstract animal sculptures to attract collectors seeking unique and unconventional art pieces. - **Creative Marketing:** Utilizing weird and unconventional art forms to create memorable advertising campaigns that stand out from competitors. - **Craftsmanship and Materials:** Exploring innovative sculpting techniques and materials for interior design and home decor industries to offer distinctive and eye-catching products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Geometric Wooden Art Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aleph-geddis.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Almost-Extinct Animal Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fauna-series.md) - [Surreal Love-Themed Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joakim-ojanen.md) - [Wooden Identity Art Forms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hughmanity.md) - [Folk Creature Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fibredog.md) - [Human Embraced-Inspired Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wallmounted-sculpture.md) - [Sculptural Wooden Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/out-of-the-blue-exhibition.md) - [Insect-Inspired Bronze Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/insect-bronze-sculptures.md)
