# Realistic Cartoon Alien Renderings Jared Krichovsky Renders Futurama Characters as Lifelike Beings By Trenton Millar | Published 2012-09-22 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jared-krichovsky-renders-futurama References: [geekologie](http://www.geekologie.com/2012/08/more-realistically-rendered-futurama-cha.php) & [jaredkrichevsky.blogspot](http://jaredkrichevsky.blogspot.ca/) In this set of drawings, Jared Krichovsky renders Futurama characters as if they were real. The resulting images take Futurama to a much more serious realm. The sinister news anchor suddenly reminds one of the aliens from Mars Attacks, and Dr. Zoidberg looks even more scary; he could be related to fellow ugly mouthed alien, Predator. Nibbler still looks really friendly though. Krichovsky has a real talent for creating [realistic renderings of fantasy characters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/junji-ito-artwork). His website shows some of his other work that is in the same style, though not based on Futurama. His work could easily be used in fantasy gaming, or a similar field. This particular set of drawings started with the Dr. Zoidberg drawing, which got so much attention that Krichovsky decided to add the other four drawings. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 77% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Customization](https://www.trendhunter.com/customization) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Realistic Cartoon Alien Renderings:** Opportunity for artists and designers to create lifelike versions of cartoon characters, expanding on the nostalgia and appeal of beloved animated shows. - **Serious Renditions of Fantasy Characters:** Potential for artists to transform fantastical characters into more realistic and gritty versions, catering to the demand for darker, edgier interpretations of fantasy worlds. - **Blurring the Line Between Animation and Reality:** Emerging trend of creating hyper-realistic depictions of cartoon and animated characters, offering a fresh perspective that captures the imagination of fans and collectors. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Entertainment and Media:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for animators and content creators to explore realistic renderings of beloved cartoon characters and tap into a new market of fans seeking novel experiences. - **Digital Art and Gaming:** Potential for game developers and artists to integrate realistic portrayals of iconic animated characters, enhancing immersion and reimagining nostalgic worlds for a mature audience. - **Collectibles and Memorabilia:** Opportunity for collectible manufacturers and merchandisers to produce high-quality, lifelike replicas of cartoon characters, captivating dedicated fans and collectors seeking unique and realistic pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [Anamorphic Fuzzy Glowing Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alien-vases.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Classical Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sen-donnan.md) - [Iconic Cartoon Game Collabs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/futurama-x-fortnite.md) - [AI-Generated Retrofuturistic Objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retrofuturistic-objects.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Realistic Sketch-Reflective Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawing-series.md) - [Retro Space-Themed Puzzled Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/john-carter.md) - [Creature-Like Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pink-robots-won.md)
