The art installation is part of the [International Festival des Jardins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/henderson-art-garden) de Metis in Quebec, Canada, that continues on into the fall season. The books are treated as walls and flooring, and even sinking into the earth to provide seating for visitors. 'Jardin de la Connaissance' is a pretty incredible and interesting art exhibit. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Book Art Installations:** Opportunity for artists and designers to create unique and immersive experiences by integrating books into their art installations. - **Outdoor Libraries:** Innovation potential for creating outdoor spaces that merge literature and nature, encouraging reading in unconventional environments. - **Bio-inspired Design:** Innovation opportunity in combining natural elements like mushrooms with man-made structures to create visually stunning and sustainable designs. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Opportunity for artists and designers to explore new mediums and techniques by incorporating books and natural elements into their work. - **Hospitality and Tourism:** Potential for creating unique and memorable outdoor reading spaces for hotels, resorts, and tourist destinations, enhancing the guest experience. - **Architecture and Landscape Design:** Opportunity for architects and landscape designers to incorporate sustainable and bio-inspired elements, like books and mushrooms, into their projects, creating innovative and aesthetically pleasing spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mushroom-Shaped Village Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mushroom-library.md) - [Mushroom-Like Wooden Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carbon-garden-pavilion.md) - [Music Festival Fabric Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fabric-mushrooms.md) - [Outdoor Floral Sculpture Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptures-at-kew-gardens.md) - [Art Garden Sanctuaries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calder-gardens.md) - [Tree-Like Library Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-of-knowledge.md) - [Water-Less Minimal Design Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/botnica.md) - [Reflective Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-caviar.md) - [Blooming Clustered Art Forms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/structural-botany.md)
