# Potted Pussycat Abodes Jardin Chic Planter Pet House Lets Flora and Fauna Coexist Indoors By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-04-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jardin-chic-planter-pet-house References: [interiordesign.conanecu.ro](http://interiordesign.conanecu.ro/planter-pet-house-puts-a-green-roof-over-your-furry-friend’s-head/) & [jardinchic](http://www.jardinchic.com/accessoires-objets-deco/mangeoires-nichoirs/niche-jardiniere-kokon.html) Hybrid design makes me happy, and I have a feeling that certain furry creatures would be equally pleased with this Jardin Chic Planter Pet House. The modern-looking flower pot takes an unusual irregular form, like a skewed cube with a contemporary flair. Its large scale means that the seeding of small herbage and greenery leaves an impressive cavity underneath, presenting the perfect opportunity to act as a [doghouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-hut-side-table) and host a huggable hound. The piece comes in a smooth white or dark brown, making it a stylish addition to both sophisticated indoor and outdoor environments. The [durable plastic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biting-edge-1) can withstand the elements, and certainly tenants with teeth and claws. [A fitting home for cats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-tree-house-2) and puppy dogs, the Jardin Chic Planter Pet House is a lovely living hub for flora and fauna alike. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 72% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Hybrid Pet Accessories:** Opportunities for creating hybrid designs for pet accessories, like planters that double as pet houses. - **Contemporary Pet Furniture:** Creating stylish and modern furniture that are suitable for both pets and home decor. - **Multipurpose Home Decor:** Designing home decor items that serve multiple functions, like a planter that doubles as a pet house. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Pet Products:** Opportunities for developing innovative pet products that serve multiple purposes. - **Home Decor:** Innovative opportunities for designing multipurpose home decor items. - **Furniture:** Creating furniture pieces that cater to pet owners without sacrificing style and aesthetics. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Simple Unibody Dog Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cottage-dog-house.md) - [Virtual Pet Planter Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-pot-concept.md) - [Workplace-Friendly Doghouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barc-dog-kennel.md) - [Modern House Pet Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/choo-choo-console.md) - [Flexible Plywood-Made Pet Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuto-pet-house.md) - [Minimalist Pet Decor Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-pet-furniture-collection.md) - [Posh Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quella-chair.md) - [Cat Cafe Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-cafe-beds.md) - [Inconspicuous Pet Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inconspicuous-pet-furniture.md)
