The RoboHon is a cute little Japanese robot -- but it's not a toy. The Japanese robot smartphone does all the things that are expected from a modern cell phone: sending and receiving email, acting as an alarm clock, shopping and to-do list-making and giving its user reminders and news updates. At the same time, RoboHon is a friendly companion, speaking to its owner, walking around and performing little dances from time to time. It's like a hybrid between a [virtual concierge](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-emotional-companion) and a [robotic pet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecovacs-lilmilo). The Japanese robot also comes with some bonus features not usually seen in smartphones, like a [built-in projector](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robosen-soundwave) to turn any wall into an at-home theater. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 54% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Connected Robotics:** The adoption of robotics technology in smartphones opens up possibilities for seamless integration with everyday activities. - **Robotic Companions:** The development of smartphones with humanoid features paves the way for interactive and friendly robotic companions. - **Smartphone Innovations:** The incorporation of unique features, such as built-in projectors, in smartphones enhances user experience and functionality. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry can explore the integration of robotics technology in smartphones to create innovative products. - **Robotics:** The robotics industry can leverage the demand for robotic companions and explore further advancements in humanoid technology. - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can capitalize on the incorporation of built-in projectors in smartphones to revolutionize home theater experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Robotic Desktop Companions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robot-concept.md) - [Pocket-Sized AI Companions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sharp-poketomo.md) - [Programmable Robot Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-robots.md) - [Emotional Companion Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yonbo-smart-home-robot.md) - [Interactive Desktop Robot Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eilik-companion-robot.md) - [Tea-Making Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/teamaking-robots.md) - [Adorable Cyber-Pet Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cyberpet.md) - [Charming Robotic House Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loona-pet-robot.md) - [Roving Projector-Paired Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2024-samsung-ballie.md)
