Intricate Japanese lacquer work and a mythical "one-eyed boy" are the driving catalysts of London-based creative Adam Nathaniel [Furman's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-roost-1) latest endeavor in [furniture design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hmli). Known for his exceptionally whimsical approach to home pieces, this collection is slightly divergent from the professional's usual approach.

The capsule — which consists of a chair, stool, and a bench, is simply dubbed 'HK.' In the curation of the silhouettes, Adam Nathaniel Furman embraces Japanese lacquer work. This is because of the designer's collaboration with Glasgow-based surface manufacturer Mirrl who asked the creative "to examine alternative applications of its solid surface material" which is "inspired by the ancient art of Tsugaru Nuri lacquerware."
