The new collection is manufactured by Swedish yacht-builders to give it that authentic and unique look. Using solid teak and carving beautiful [geometric waves into the tabletop](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trama-collection), the futuristic design comes in two tabletop sizes and with two different sets of legs to choose from. The chair on the other hand is designed in a way to relieve any stress from the body with its [comforting design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/news-collection) and is made using an antibacterial surface ABS plastic. “It took us two years to create something so simple – yet fascinating – when all we had to do was to sit and feel. We created Captain for people that sits down all day, in all positions: meetings that never end, hotel lobbies and coffee shops with that perfect espresso,” says the design team at Jangir Maddadi. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 91% | Activity: 61% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Craftsmanship Revival:** The rise of artisanal products and handmade craftsmanship presents an opportunity for brands to offer unique and high-quality homeware collections. - **Futuristic Design:** Incorporating futuristic elements into furniture design allows for innovative and visually striking pieces that appeal to modern consumers. - **Functional Comfort:** Designing furniture with a focus on comfort and ergonomic features creates opportunities for businesses to meet the needs of individuals seeking relaxation and stress relief in their everyday lives. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Furnishings:** The home furnishings industry can leverage the trend of craftsmanship revival by offering curated collections that showcase artisanal work and unique designs. - **Luxury Furniture:** Luxury furniture brands have the opportunity to experiment with futuristic designs that incorporate advanced materials and innovative manufacturing techniques. - **Office Furniture:** By focusing on functional comfort, the office furniture industry can create ergonomic seating solutions that promote productivity and well-being in the workplace. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Swedish-Made Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summer-collection.md) - [Mindful Mediterranean Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marea-collection.md) - [Ultra-Elegant Timeless Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timeless-furniture2.md) - [Wood-Centric Simple Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collective-collection.md) - [Stunning Scandinavian Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scandinavian-seating-collection.md) - [Design-Forward Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/furniture-collection1.md) - [Sophisticated Modern Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-furniture-design1.md) - [Architect-Designed Thoughtful Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/norman-foster2.md) - [Sleek Collectible Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ateiler-pendhapa.md)
