May aims to honor iconic toys by rebuilding them on a large scale. Think plasticine gardens, super-sized Airfix models and the aforementioned LEGO home. James May admits that there are some unusual challenges to building a full-sized home out of LEGO. While over 3 million bricks have been delivered to May’s construction site, he’s still working out the kinks of plumbing and electricity using as much LEGO as is possible. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 82% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Media](https://www.trendhunter.com/media) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Full-sized LEGO Houses:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the construction industry by exploring the use of alternative materials such as LEGO for building homes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Construction:** Potential for disruptive innovation in the construction industry by adopting new materials and methods, like LEGO, for building homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Retro Sitcom-Inspired Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-ideas-full-house.md) - [Baking Program Toy Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-great-british-bake-off-set.md) - [Life-Sized LEGO Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legoland.md) - [Show Skit-Inspired Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mr-bean-skit.md) - [Life-Size LEGO Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/McLaren-Formula-1-Car.md) - [Life-Size LEGO Brick Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1950s-cadillac-fleetwood.md) - [Television Family-Inspired Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bobs-burgers-set.md) - [Phone Box-Inspired Building Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-4.md) - [Block Puzzle Modular Dollhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dollhouse-concept.md)
