The knife is finished with a Coral + Turquois color that could call to mind the colors of the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers, but was ultimately chosen to make the accessory as appealing and friendly as possible. The knife has a compact 6.2-inch size when open and is paired with a [Sandvik](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chic-pocket-knife) [12C27](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-james-brand-the-ellis-slim) steel blade that will lock into place when opened to maximize safety. The James Brand Redstone outdoor knife was created in collaboration with Savannah Cummins and is paired with a clip to allow for easily positioning it onto a belt or attaching a lanyard. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 64% | Freshness: 11% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Colorful Outdoor Gear:** Opportunity for companies to differentiate themselves in the outdoor gear market by incorporating bright, eye-catching colors into their products. - **Collaborative Product Design:** Partnering with influential individuals in outdoor sports and recreation to create purposeful, functional accessories can attract a wider audience. - **Compact but Versatile Tools:** Designing multi-purpose tools with a compact form factor can provide convenience and portability for daily use or outdoor adventures. ### Who This Affects Most - **Outdoor Gear and Equipment:** Companies can leverage durable materials, innovative designs, and color schemes to enhance and differentiate their products in the crowded outdoor gear space. - **Athletic and Outdoor Apparel:** Incorporating functional and lightweight accessories, like compact knives or multi-tools, into athletic and outdoor apparel can provide added convenience and safety for consumers. - **Collaborative Marketing and Promotion:** Partnering with influential outdoor enthusiasts and athletes to showcase and promote outdoor gear and accessories can widen brand recognition and appeal. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Micro Outdoor Lifestyle Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-james-brand-x-huckberry-redstone-knife.md) - [Chromatic EDC Knife Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-james-brand-bright-collection.md) - [Haute Eyewear-Inspired EDCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chic-pocket-knife.md) - [Chromatic Aluminum Pocket Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wesn-x-glidr-microblade.md) - [Collaboration Retailer Pocket Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chapter-2-pocket-knife.md) - [Luxe Limited-Edition EDC Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-james-brand-barnes-knife.md) - [Keychain-Friendly Utility Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palmer-utility-knife.md) - [Poshly Designed Pocket Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wesn-x-pco-slipjoint-microblade-knife.md) - [Landscape-Honoring Pocket Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wesn-ridgeback-microblade.md)
