# Horrifying Surreal Portraits Jacek Kaczynski Channels the Dark Side in His Illustrations By Matt Ho | Published 2011-02-04 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jacek-kaczynski References: [inspirefirst](http://www.inspirefirst.com/2011/02/03/atmospheric-surrealism-illustrator-jacek-kaczyski/) & [wuwejo.deviantart](http://wuwejo.deviantart.com/) Horrifying, macabre and dark are some of the many words that can be used to describe Jacek Kaczynski's (aka wuwejo) illustrations. Featuring clowns and pointy-nosed freaks, this series is pretty much every child's nightmare. His works are predominantly gray, which works well with his themes as it blends brilliantly with the characters and the backdrops. As terrifying as these may look, Jacek Kaczynsky's work is original and unique, with inspirations drawn from his native Poland.
