This rest stop in Gori, Georgia, is designed by Berlin-based J. Mayer H. Architects. The structure is more than a place to eat and relieve oneself -- it's also a [roadside art sculpture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hiroshima-architecture-exhibition).

Its construction is the finish of two out of 20 rest stops designed to line along a new highway that'll run through the country to connect Azerbaijan and Turkey. The building is located at [designated scenic viewpoints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drifting-stones) where the scenery adds to the structure's eye-catching design. More than just a gas station and food stop, the rest stop also includes a farmers market and a [cultural space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hengqin-culture-and-art-complex).

The sloping roof and starfish-inspired pillars makes this building more than average. The J. Mayer H. Architects rest stop design is an example of architecture that incorporates fascinating geometric shapes.
