The Iwona Przybyla [stitch typography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pumpui) makes words dance off the page -- literally.

The Polish designer uses blue thread, weaving it in and out of the [spine of a book](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/4442-book) to created an alphabet you've never seen before. By turning the page, the slack yarn becomes taut when the pages reach a certain distance from one another. With every letter spanning two pages, the project is a work of optical illusion and meticulous detail. Each letter's shadows, angles and position are first considered through graphic design.

It seems there is a fascination with re-inventing the alphabet in different ways. No longer do simple variations in font suffice. This project is only one example of the many 3D interpretations across a variety of products.
