Developed by Hong Kong-based architect Edmond Wong, MONO is a range of glasses, launched under Wong's brand ITUM, that are 3D-printed to fit users' faces. This is an especially brilliant concept because, as many glasses-wearing members of the population already know, one size certainly does not fit all.

ITUM identified three measurements that are essential to achieving comfort -- the frame width, the nose pad depth and the temple length -- and applied them to a unique sizing system. Each measurement is available in S, M or L, and the combination is codified to reach the user's ideal frame size. Even more impressive is the fact that the MONO glasses are reduced to a single monolithic frame requiring no different parts, screws or hinges. The entire frame is printed as one, meaning that it's assembly-free, along with completely custom.

The MONO range illuminates the ways technology, specifically 3D printing, can transform industries with customization and greater attention to detail.
