Tokyo-based company ispace is working towards a large project to start its lunar program as it attempts to land the first-ever commercial lunar M1 lander later this month. It aims to deliver government as well as [privately-owned payloads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/black-kite) to the Moon's surface as the upcoming mission.

The main idea of the brand is to focus on [lunar exploration](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-walker) with the goal to become what the company describes as a “gateway for the private sector to bring their business to the Moon.” The Mission 1 Lander is the first-ever mission to the brand's program known as Hakuto-R.
