# Smartphone-Charging Pouches This iPhone-Charging Pouch Keeps Your iPhone Safe and Charged By Rahul Kalvapalle | Published 2014-04-09 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphonecharging-pouch References: [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/davidditzler/chargaroo-iphone-charging-pouch) & [chargearoo](http://www.chargearoo.com/) The Chargearoo is an [iPhone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chargepuck)-charging pouch that keeps your iPhone snug and safe like a joey in a mother kangaroo's pouch. The Chargearoo was designed by an industrial designer who found himself equally amused and astonished at the places people put their expensive [iPhones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hirise3) and other smartphones while charging them. Many iPhone users are guilty of charging their iPhones near the bathroom sink (where they can be damaged by water) or on the floor (where they can be stepped on). The Chargearoo is a no-frills, lightweight and durable iPhone-charging pouch that keeps your iPhone out of harm's way while it is charging. The contraption is made so you can insert an iPhone charger into it and safely wrap the cable, while a cradle on the other side safely holds your smartphone while it is charging. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 68% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Compact Charging Solutions:** The rise of smartphone-charging pouches like the Chargearoo presents an opportunity for the development of more compact and portable charging solutions for smartphones. - **Phone Protection Innovation:** The development of iPhone-charging pouches like the Chargearoo highlights the need for innovative phone protection solutions that combine functionality and convenience. - **Smartphone Charging Accessibility:** The popularity of smartphone-charging pouches like the Chargearoo signifies an increasing demand for accessible and convenient charging options for smartphones. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry can capitalize on the trend of smartphone-charging pouches by designing and manufacturing innovative charging accessories that address the needs of smartphone users. - **Fashion and Accessories:** The fashion and accessories industry can seize the opportunity presented by smartphone-charging pouches to create stylish and trendy charging pouches that appeal to fashion-conscious consumers. - **Travel and Tourism:** The travel and tourism industry can tap into the trend of smartphone-charging pouches by offering charging pouches as complementary accessories or amenities in hotels, airports, and other travel-related establishments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Three-in-One Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chargepuck.md) - [Smartphone-Charging Smart Wallets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartphonecharging-smart-wallets.md) - [Display-Equipped Smart Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dino-charger.md) - [Grip-Enhancing Smartphone Batteries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/popsockets-popgrip-jumpstart-lightning.md) - [Compact Magnetic Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pokoo.md) - [Smartphone Wallet Folio Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pad-quill-leathersafe-pocket-book.md) - [Two-Part Charging Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sparkee.md) - [Vibrant Lanyard Charging Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lanyard-charging.md) - [Knitted Phone Pockets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-pocket.md)
