# Ribbon Furniture Support Koket's Intuition Dining Table is Inspired by a Woman's Instinct By Meghan Young | Published 2011-12-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intuition-dining-table References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2011/12/05/intuition-table-by-koket/) & [bykoket](http://bykoket.com/catalogue/intuition.html) The Intuition Dining Table seems as delicate as a woman, and made to look just as mysterious. That seems to be the point, however, since it is inspired by a woman's intuition. Simple and decadent, it features a [unique stand](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-transformation-table) that looks as though it were once a spool of black ribbon. That is where its delicate nature stems from. How it manages to support a [heavy glass top](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soda-iced-table) is the mystery. Brought to buyers by Kokey, the Intuition Dining Table is made out of two-toned (matte black and metallic) [metal strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twist-side-table). According to the manufacturer, it "evokes the mysterious and divine feminine instinct [while the] carefree and unexpected swirls are guided by emotions and desires." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Delicate Furniture Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop furniture designs that mimic delicate and mysterious qualities, while still maintaining structural stability. - **Inspiration From Feminine Intuition:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create products that draw inspiration from the instincts and emotions associated with femininity. - **Unique Stand Designs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design stands or supports for furniture that incorporate unexpected and visually appealing elements, while ensuring sufficient strength and stability. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Apply innovative techniques and materials to create furniture pieces that blend elegance and functionality. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce furniture and decor items that evoke a sense of mystery and feminine intuition, enhancing the overall design aesthetic. - **Art and Sculpture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine art and functionality to create unique sculpture-like furniture pieces that captivate and intrigue viewers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elegant Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangent-table.md) - [Fabric-Like Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tablecloth-side-table.md) - [Artwork-Inspired Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/d12-dining-table.md) - [Effortless Glass Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbital.md) - [Juxtaposing Material Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compression-dining-table.md) - [Bronze Luxury Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bronze-lilith-table.md) - [Wine-Catered Vibrant Artful Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-table.md) - [Sophisticated Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monumental-table.md) - [Wavy Sculptural Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-coffee-tables.md)
