More often, such a piece will be arranged against a wall or perhaps even in a corner. The Intrigue Lamp by Andrey Dokuchaev addresses the fact that 360 degrees of illumination is rarely a necessity from these sorts of objects, opting to direct more light through a narrower angle. The [stylish light fixture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-lighting-design) incorporates a substantial [asymmetrical lampshade](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loops-lamp) which extends to the length of its base on one side, while its bottom edge gradually slants up to a more conventional height. The perimeter formed outlines a perfect elliptical shape, opening up to let a warm glow cast outwards, guided by the metallic gold finish inside the gorgeous Intrigue Lamp by Andrey Dokuchaev. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Asymmetrical Lighting:** The trend of using asymmetrical lampshades for directing light in a narrower angle creates unique and visually appealing lighting designs. - **Elliptical Lamp Design:** The trend of incorporating elliptical lamp designs allows for a perfect shape that enhances the distribution of warm and inviting light. - **Metallic Interior Finishes:** The trend of using metallic gold finishes inside lamps adds a touch of luxury and elegance to lighting fixtures. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can explore new lighting concepts by incorporating asymmetrical lampshades and elliptical lamp designs to create captivating and functional lighting solutions. - **Lighting Manufacturing:** The lighting manufacturing industry can capitalize on the trend of metallic interior finishes to create high-end and visually appealing lamp designs. - **Home Decor Retail:** Home decor retailers can cater to consumer demands by offering a wide range of asymmetrical, elliptical lamps with metallic interior finishes, providing customers with unique and stylish lighting options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Illusory Mirror Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirror-table-lamp.md) - [Elegant Metal Perforated Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foreshadow-table-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Lunar Lighting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonsetter-floor-lamp.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Illusory Multidimensional Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drop-light.md) - [Suspended Halo Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamplox-minimalist-floor-lamp.md) - [Brutalist Bedside Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vestige-lamp.md) - [Planetary Dual-Illumination Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbis-lamp.md) - [Minimalist Mysterious Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auge-light-mini.md)
