While most people stop at using incognito windows and clearing search history, that -- most of the time -- isn't good enough. For those who need safety on the net, Safeplug has your back. Many people don't know, but when accessing a website, one's IP address is vulnerable to scamming. Safeplug uses a system called Tor (a system used frequently by foreign journalists) to allow for complete [Internet anonymity](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/incognichat). Safeplug does this by routing one's Internet activity through a web of random locations. By doing this, it makes it extremely difficult to pinpoint the individual IP address, so one's Internet privacy is secure. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Internet Privacy:** Safeplug provides absolute internet safety through complete anonymity. - **Safe Internet Browsing:** Safeplug's use of Tor technology ensures secure and private internet browsing. - **Data Security:** Safeplug's routing system protects individual IP addresses and secures internet privacy. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Technology:** The technology industry can benefit from Safeplug's innovative approach to internet privacy. - **Cybersecurity:** Safeplug's use of Tor technology can disrupt the cybersecurity industry by providing a secure browsing solution. - **Digital Privacy:** Safeplug's focus on internet anonymity addresses the growing concerns of digital privacy, impacting the digital privacy industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Enhanced Privacy-Focused Browsers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/privacy-pro.md) - [Privacy-Focused Web Browsers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/duckduckgo-browser.md) - [Secure Screen Sharing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/safe-screen.md) - [Child-Friendly Web Browsers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ursor.md) - [Anti-Tracking Privacy Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antitrack.md) - [Location-Altering GPS Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-gps-spoofer.md) - [Online Privacy Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deleteme.md) - [Incognito Web Browsers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/duckduckgo-1.md) - [User-Friendly Email Privacy Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/email-protection.md)
