# Obtuse Triangled Structures The International Flower Auction Store is Amazingly Angled By Meghan Young | Published 2011-02-08 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/international-flower-auction-store References: [cribcandy](http://cribcandy.com/home/picks/international-flower-auction-store-cnt/76030/) & [archdaily](http://www.archdaily.com/107990/international-flower-auction-store-cnt/) There is something quirky about the [International Flower Auction Store](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/konny). I can't help but go back to my elementary school days of math and geometry when I look at this structure, which drums up images of various [obtuse triangles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/triangle-hanger). Designed by CnT, the International Flower Auction Store is located in Bangalore, India. Rather poetically, the [upper triangle actually represents a flower](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-leaves) while its slender supports stands as a 'stem.' Therefore, its design embodies the spirit of a flower. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Obtuse Triangle Structures:** Opportunities for innovative architectural designs that incorporate obtuse triangle shapes. - **Geometry-inspired Designs:** Potential for unique product designs influenced by geometric shapes, like obtuse triangles. - **Poetic Architecture:** Emerging trend of architectural designs that embody symbolic meanings, like representing a flower through shape. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture and Construction:** Disruptive innovation in the architectural industry by introducing unconventional geometric designs, like obtuse triangle structures. - **Product Design:** Opportunities for product designers to create unique and geometric-inspired designs, such as incorporating obtuse triangles into their products. - **Art and Sculpture:** Exploring the artistic potential of incorporating poetic symbolism in architectural structures, like representing a flower through shape, blurring the lines between art and architecture. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tea-Honoring Angular Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atelier-xi-2.md) - [Temple-Inspired Striking Galleries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abin-design-studio.md) - [Geometric African Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/great-primary-shapes.md) - [Blooming Clustered Art Forms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/structural-botany.md) - [Geometry-Inspired Vase Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/triangle-vase-collection.md) - [Forest-Nestled Poetic Cakeshops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/45-space.md) - [Irregular Pyramid-Shaped Retailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-store.md) - [Building-Nestled Compact Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chapel-cafe.md) - [Angular Educational Facilities](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oarvemtta.md)
