# Interactive Musical Tables Fumiaki Goto's Marimba Dining Table By Marissa Brassfield | Published 2008-08-23 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-musical-tables-fumiaki-gotos-marimba-dining-table References: [cribfashion](http://www.cribfashion.com/furniture/interactive-dining-table.html) & [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/category/living/furniture/) Parents take note: Dining at Fumiaki Goto’s music dining table will not be quiet and peaceful; the table may, in fact, induce inadvertent fits and feats of percussion at the table. This unique wooden table is constructed just like a marimba, emitting tones that correspond to different parts of the tabletop when struck. That means that every item that comes in contact with the table, from wineglasses to forks, knives, fists and tumblers, are equally equipped to be marimba mallets. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.3/10 - Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multimedia Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aream-multimedia-table-sensory-and-touch-technology.md) - [Interactive Brainstorming Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kage-roi-brainstorming.md) - [Musical Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/musical-furniture-fumiaki-gotos-dining-table.md)
