# Animated Paper Fish Aquariums Sketch is an Interactive Aquarium Full of Fish Drawn by Kids By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2014-05-12 | Life-Stages Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-aquarium References: [en.rocketnews24](http://en.rocketnews24.com/2014/05/12/watch-a-fish-of-your-design-magically-come-to-life-at-the-sketch-aquarium/) & [kids.team-lab](http://kids.team-lab.com/attraction/aquarium/) Aquariums are full of unbelievable sea creatures that sometimes look like they come from other planets, but the Sketch interactive aquarium is full of even more imaginative sea life than usual, since they come from the creative minds of kids. At Sketch Aquarium, kids start by picking a fish template and coloring it in on paper. From there, they can scan their drawings, which will instantly appear on the virtual walls of the aquarium as realistic, animated moving sea creatures. When kids want to get up close to their creations, the aquarium walls are programmed to make pieces of food pop on on-screen, causing many fish to cluster nearby. As described by Sketch Aquarium creators teamLab, the space is a "future park" where kids are given a unique environment to play and learn. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 66% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Youth](https://www.trendhunter.com/youth) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Interactive Aquariums:** Create immersive experiences for visitors by combining real and virtual elements in aquariums. - **Children's Creativity:** Harness the imagination of children to generate unique and engaging content in various industries. - **Digital Augmentation:** Utilize technology to enhance traditional mediums like paper drawings with interactive digital elements. ### Who This Affects Most - **Entertainment:** Incorporate interactive aquariums into entertainment venues to provide a novel and engaging experience for visitors. - **Education:** Integrate interactive aquariums with educational programs to foster creativity and learning in children. - **Art and Design:** Explore the combination of physical art mediums and digital technology to create innovative and interactive artistic experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Transformative AI Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawings-alive.md) - [Eye-Tracking Informational Aquariums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-aquarium.md) - [Kinetic Reef Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-tropical-aquarium.md) - [Immersive Digital Forests](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/teamlab-1.md) - [Kids Drawing Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kids-coloring-drawing-book-app.md) - [Digital AI-Generated Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/picsart-1.md) - [Waterless Fish Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zhu-zhu-aquarium.md) - [Portable Drawing Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-projector-for-kids.md) - [Sketch-To-Code Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sketch2appio.md)
