Measuring in at 23.95 square meters, the tiny home was constructed using structural insulated panels built from foam and plywood, in addition to recycled wood-based materials. The tiny home is equipped with numerous [off-grid elements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sea-chord) that make it exceptionally eco-friendly. However, the most interesting feature of this home is the liberal use of structural insulated panels that are strong and durable yet lightweight and great at insulation. Ultimately, Jeff Hobbs' wonderfully innovative tiny home project proves how the use of insulated panels can result in better tiny living and saved space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 93% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) > [Eco Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/ecoarchitecture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Insulated Tiny Homes:** Using Structural Insulated Panels to Improve Tiny Living Space. - **Eco-friendly Tiny Homes:** Creating Sustainable Tiny Homes With Off-Grid Elements. - **Recycled Material Tiny Homes:** Building Tiny Homes With Sustainable and Affordable Recycled Materials. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Construction Industry:** Implementing Structural Insulated Panels for More Efficient and Sustainable Building Techniques. - **Tiny Home Industry:** Using Off-Grid Elements and Insulated Panels for Better Living and Affordability in Tiny Homes. - **Sustainable Housing Industry:** Incorporating Recycled Materials and Insulation Techniques to Create More Sustainable and Affordable Housing Options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Eco‑tiny Sanctuarys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tign-tiny-homes.md) - [Canadian Winter-Ready Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thuya-tiny-house.md) - [Triple Shipping Container Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modhouse-tiny-home.md) - [Miniature Insulated Home Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ark-tiny-homes.md) - [Stacked Compact Compact Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabini-edelweiss.md) - [Compact Sustainable Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cabana.md) - [Storage-Centric Compact Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ktuku.md) - [Cozy Smart Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sonoma.md) - [Ultra-Efficient Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hirondelle-tiny-house.md)
