# Social Media-Mimicking Art Yue Wu's Instagram Illustrations Recreate His Account Activity By Michael Baxter | Published 2014-01-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instagram-illustrations References: [booooooom](http://www.booooooom.com/2014/01/13/artist-yue-wu-draws-likes/) & [hypebeast](http://hypebeast.com/tags/yue-wu) These [Instagram](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instagraph) illustrations take liking a photo to a whole new level. Artist Yue Wu's fun new project has him drawing the things that he likes on Instragram daily and mashing them together to create a mish-mash of interesting things. Instagram can get monotonous sometimes with the general cookie cutter-like formula of pictures taken but even those pictures seem to take on new life when they're drawn. Images like a meme-like Kim Jong Un for one look particularly hilarious when Yue Wu gets his hands on them. Yue Wu's [hand drawn style](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawingpics) is well-documented and as the Hypebeast du-jour, we're sure we'll see many more of his random sketches and takes on popular culture. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI-Powered Icon Creators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sketchmeapp.md) - [Visualized Social Media Data](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instagraph.md) - [Image Stylization Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodlify.md) - [AI-Generated Topic Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-art-of-trending-1.md) - [Digital AI-Generated Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/picsart-1.md) - [Expressive App Icons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instagram-teen-icons.md) - [Social Media Dating Profiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/likelike.md) - [AI-Aided Social Networks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/befake-ai-social-network.md) - [AI Humor Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instaroasts.md)
